| Jupiter Florida Real Estate In 1925 a small group of citizens came together and formed the Town of Jupiter. Jupiter was famous for the Jupiter Lighthouse which was built back in the mid 1800's. Jupiter's main street was Center St which ran through the center of Town. Alot of the early homes and businesses sit off center street including the old town hall. Jupiter's first and only elementary school was Jupiter Elementary which was K-12 when it was first built and now is a historic landmark. Around 1978 as the more people began moving to Florida Jupiter real estate had a small boom in which alot of the beachfront condos and communities were built. If you look at many of the units you will see a huge California influence with vaulted ceilings and open rafters. This boom lasted a few years due to high interest rates. Jupiter remained a sleepy little town until about 1997 when the MacArthur Foundation sold vasts amount of real estate in the Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens area. Thousand's of acres were suddenly sold to developer's who quickly cashed in on the housing frenzy beginning around 2000. Abacoa was one such place in which the idea of having a self contained community to work, play and live at was the concept of the day. Abacoa homes had a slow start. It contains many amenities such as golf course's, baseball stadiums for spring training and a higher education facility Florida Atlantic University Honors campus. Abacoa transpired into a huge community. Jupiter has still done a great job in preserving lands for parks and limiting condo size's to avoid that Broward County look. They try to keep architecture standards very strict and blendable into the environment. Due to the fact of strict zoning regulations there are less homes in the Jupiter area so home prices are a bit higher then our neighbors to the south. Jupiter has a great mixture of parks, entertainment, restaurants and other amenities that will satisfy most everyone's needs. We have Downtown at the Gardens which is just minutes away that has something for everyone. Palm Beach and City Place are less then 30 minutes away. To the North Stuart is just 20 minutes away if your looking for that small town feel. Surrounding Jupiter is Juno Beach, Tequesta and Palm Beach Gardens. Juno Beach is a very small community about 3 square miles and one third of it is parks and preserves. Juno Beach has some nice homes and condos that are just a short walk from the beach. The Juno Beach fishing pier sits off the coast in Juno Beach with a park across the street. Along A1A from Juno Beach through Jupiter is a 3 mile long bike path that skirts the Atlantic Ocean as well as a sidewalk for the not so active who just want to stroll along and view the ocean. Along that strip of A1A we have many condos and some homes. We have the Jupiter Beach Resort at the north end by Carlin Park and finally we end at the Jupiter Inlet. The real estate in Jupiter may be priced a bit higher but once you get there you'll realize why. Paradise doesn't come cheap. Jupiter is a great place to call home. When you searching for a home or condo in Jupiter or Juno Beach call the realtor that lives by the beach. Serving your real estate needs in Jupiter is my first concern.
